An office container is a mobile, modular space unit specifically equipped for use as a workspace, featuring windows, electrical installations, heating/air conditioning, and interior finishing. It is used both as a standalone unit and as part of a combined multi-unit complex, serving as a temporary or permanent office and administrative solution.
An office container is based on a sturdy steel frame construction, but unlike a standard storage or material container, it is designed to be habitable and suitable for long-term work. This typically includes thermal insulation, electrical installations with outlets and lighting, windows for natural light, interior paneling, and heating or optional air conditioning. Office containers can be used individually or combined into larger container complexes with multiple rooms, hallways, and sanitary facilities.
Office containers are used wherever fully functional space is needed quickly and flexibly:
Can an office container be used permanently, or only temporarily?
Both are possible. Depending on the design and building permit, office containers are suitable for both short-term use (e.g., construction sites) and permanent use as administrative buildings.
What is the difference between Classic Line and Plus Line office containers?
Does an office container require a building permit?
Yes, in most cases. As soon as an office container is used in a fixed location—regardless of whether it is temporary or permanent—it is legally considered a building and is subject to the respective state building code (LBO). Simplified exemptions apply to temporary construction site offices.
How are office containers heated or cooled?
The standard includes electric wall-mounted convectors (2 kW). For year-round use or during the summer, we recommend equipping them with a split air conditioning system (heat pump), which provides both cooling and energy-efficient heating.
